Centrality

blodeueddTonight, for the first time in what feels like forever, I found my centre. That is, my centre of gravity.
So the simple pirouette exercise, the four quarter turns followed by two half turns and two full turns, repeat with the other leg? I nailed it for the first time ever -- no stumbling, no hopping, no putting my foot down early. I felt like crying happy tears.
Of course, not five minutes later, Inui-sensei was laughing at me because I got confused in the middle of an exercise and was going in the opposite direction from everyone else, but who cares?!
Centre of gravity, I has it! :D
Recently, several people posted a "100 (or 15, or however many they felt like) Things That Make Me Happy" meme, so I thought I'd follow suit. But I haven't got the time to write 100 things tonight, so I'll start with 20:
1 - Travelling;
2 - Waking up to a warm Tabitha cuddled up to me;
3 - Sequins;
4 - Chinese food;
5 - Pretty earrings;
6 - Having a five-year-old student who sometimes struggles with math tell me that she likes it because, "Ms. Adele, math is fun!";
7 - Seeing children get excited about being able to read;
8 - Sharing hot pot (or any good food) with friends;
9 - Finding out at the cash register that the thing I'm buying is on sale;
10 - Taking a picture and managing to capture exactly what I wanted to;
11 - Figuring out how to drape fabric to make the garment I want;
12 - Bright colours;
13 - Tokyo about an hour before sunset, when everything is soft and golden and beautiful;
14 - When my brothers team up to make me laugh as much as possible;
15 - The sound of snow falling;
16 - Driving on the highway, heading for a place I've never been to before;
17 - Plum blossoms;
18 - Being able to help a friend;
19 - Understanding something new in a language I'm studying;
20 - Fresh berries.
In other news, it seems the rainy season has arrived (it is June, after all), so I'll just be over here being a little ball of sweat and poofy hair until September or so.
