Would someone please explain the appeal of overhead shots? I read salon.com just about every day, and among their annoying ads and things there's the "Catch of the Day" from the Personals section. I'm sure that at least 80% of these pictures have the advertiser looking up at the camera. If you look good, you'll look good from any angle. But come on, people, if you have a big nose, that's not the angle that's going to make it look smaller! My real gripe, though, is that so many people post similarly-angled shots, and it's not even as though you often get to see anyone from that angle.
