The joys of teaching
You wanna know what really gets French teachers off? Hearing a student (tall, blonde, hot and sweet as anything) correctly use the passé composé and the imparfait in the same sentence on her *second* day of class. *melts* Then I spent the afternoon with five students who can barely form a basic sentence without making a mistake. Ok, so they're not all that bad, but two of them are, and it's holding the others back.
I started the fourth Harry Potter the other day, to put myself in the mood for the movie that I WILL see soon, I hope. Damn, those books read fast! A hundred pages went by like nothing, and as I'm also breezing through "La volupté d'être" at the moment, I think a little dose of "Of Human Bondage" is just what I need to pace myself a bit. Not to mention all the other books that are lying around in my room, half-finished or unread.
Yesterday we started our pointe dance, to the pas de quatre from Swan Lake. I just love that piece; only a minute and a half, but oh, what airy elegance when danced right! Makes me feel like a real ballerina.
