My Tokyo Stage Debut

Normal life may now resume.
The show went really well! Okay, so the back screen didn't go up when it should have for our number, and I messed up a couple of things, but my fouetté turns were ON! I think I was even in synch with the others! More importantly, I was spotting, and I mostly stayed in place, which is a victory, so who cares if I stumbled a bit on the landing. And I have no extension, and
Hah, I will, once I see the DVD. XD;;;
Thank you so much to those who came to see me (and those who wanted to but couldn't), and those who sent encouraging words. It really meant a lot to me. Somehow, ballet has always been something personal to me, because I never did it with friends (except for A-L, at first), so it's never been something I really share with people. I'm very touched that people came to see what I'd been working so hard for. And I even got flowers! <3
Quickly, before I turn in for the night, here are my daily memes.
Day 23 - What is something you have/do in Japan that you wish you had/could do in your home country?
Pay bills at the convenience store!
Another thing that would be nice would be for taxes to be included in the sticker price. (I realise that Canada is one of the few places where this is not done, so what are we waiting for?!) And no tipping would make things so much easier! (I'm not complaining about servers earning decent wages, but like taxes, couldn't that be included in the price on the menu, or as a table charge, or something?)
As for things I'd like to have in Canada, I would put onigiri, awesome shoes, efficient public transportation, and plum blossoms at the top of the list

Day 23 – Something that makes you feel better
Better than what? XD
Spending time with a friend. Seeing a beautiful sky. Walking in nice weather. Listening to Leonard Cohen. Eating good food. Looking at pictures I've taken in some of the amazing places I've been. Thinking about the next trip I'm going to take. Losing myself in a good book. Listening to Tabitha purr. Having my hair "styled" by a couple of enthusiastic four-year-olds wielding plastic utensils. Curling up under the blankets, knowing I'm going to sleep like a rock tonight.
