Il reste 3 dodos! (Thought they were extinct, eh?)
There's something so thrillingly intimate about being slightly tipsy (not drunk, this week!) and moving against your lover in a crowded club, especially when the music is mostly pulse-like drum beats.
My life, one year ago... I'm still as busy now (if not more so), but it's now much more of the spend-lots-of-time-with-one-person kind of busy than the do-stuff-with-a-bunch-of-people variety. My social life has changed on that level, for one, and also in that there are some people I saw an awful lot of last year that I've hardly seen at all (if at all) since the spring.
I think this is the first time in my life that I've been avoided (like the plague!) to my face. I know of a couple of instances of people disliking me, but I always heard about it from someone else; this kind of reaction is new to me. Sadly, I can't even say that I care. I used to call this person a friend, but this kind of behaviour is so ridiculous that I have no regrets whatsoever.
I decided to go ahead and forego two days' worth of pay in the interest of staying home, hopefully doing some cleaning (read: change my sheets, vacuum, throw out papers I don't need), delivering a gift and buying the last few gifts I want to give.
So let's see... a week and a half off, 2 parties and definitely some going out to dine and dance. I WILL get a chance to wear all my pretty dresses, purses and strappy sandals, dammit! And then, so help me, I think I'll have to go out and buy more.
Might I add that I'm not much impressed by livejournal's spell checker, it doesn't recognize "forego". Collins does.

My second party is an Alex Party (TM), it's on the 4th of January. I don't suppose you'll still be in town then? Anyway, if you are, you're more than welcome to come along, and Alex Parties are always a major blast. Though I missed the last two. :P
Alors, tu arrives en Outaouais aujourd'hui?

so who else has been disliking you besides that silly Gene?
Re:
Remember A-L's friend who hated me? We were never face to face, though, so that was a bit different. And I was talking about him.

Je veux vraiment te voir dans tes beaux vêtements! Surtout tes belles robes et sandales =D
