Another weekend gone and I feel sure I wrote something similar a few months (or was it weeks?) back, but bloh.

I bought Tatu's English CD and I must admit that I prefer "Not Gonna Get Us" to "Nas Ne Dagonyat". They sound... less screechy and I think the instrumentation's a teeny bit different. Unfortunately, my two favourites, "Robot" and "Ta Tvoy Vrag" aren't on the CD. Must see about getting the original version, if possible.

Plans for Greece are starting to take shape, A-L inspiring me yesterday to new flights of giggly excitement and longing for a Lonely Planet. She has the Let's Go, which I'm unfamiliar with, but I want to see if a Greece/Turkey/Eastern Europe edition, or a reasonable facsimile thereof, exists. Though Greece is lumped in with Western Europe, at least in the 2001 edition, so I'm not holding out much hope for that. And I doubt Turkey is considered Eastern Europe.

I've started checking up on Eurotrip.com regularly again and my backpack is calling to me.

Let's start a packing list!

Tatu!

I liked the Russian version of Nas Ne Dagonyat better precisely because they were more "screechy" in it! It gives it more of an edge that goes well with the rest of the musical composition.

Dont get me wrong, its not the type of voice I would like to listen to for hours on end... or even just in normal conversations... but it has its place. And I thought that it was very appropriate in the context of this song =) Softening the edge just makes them more similar to all the other carbon-copy singers/groups out there...

Well I guess I should say that I enjoy "Ya soshla s uma" more than "All the Things She said"...
I was really dissapointed that "Zachem Ya" (Why am I?) isnt on it. I don't like all you who said I shouldnt buy it. I want it really badly... :| And by the time I can buy it again it will be sold out!!! I just know it :( So how good is it? (Gimme Gimme Gimme)

I agree about "Ya soshla s uma" :) "Zachem ya" is on it but it's half-English half-Russian and titled "Stars"

I like it quite a bit, even though my two favourites aren't on it. The only really jarring song on it is "How Soon Is Now?" - I can't for the life of me figure out why it's on there, it's nothing like any of the other songs. I think the album is worth every penny, but I can make you a copy if you can't buy it now. ^_^

Really!?! O_o sweet...I loved Zachem Ya...though apparently the lyrics tranlation I have for it is slightly off...My Russian friend took a look at is and noticed that they translated a slang term for "male tail" as Key and that they translated "slip into my throat" as "Voices will slip" :| Those pervy Russians :P Love em or Hate em :)
