So, what's new?

This morning I awoke and went to the bathroom, thinking "Wouldn't it be nice to have snow?" Lo and behold, but that very thing did appear before mine own eyes. Letting escape little cries of enthusiasm, I pounced on a still-slumbering G, who sat up with a start, confused by his brusque awakening.

The snow, though pretty as seen through a window, was slightly wet powder being blown about by very strong winds. I went out to go to the gym and to pick up groceries and regretted not bringing my earmuffs along.

At the gym, I spent nearly a whole hour on the treadmill. Not because I'd planned to, but because there was a programme on about the Queen of Sheba and I wanted to see it all. Still, I took my time and had a good workout. I've felt my body changing shape slightly over the past two weeks or so. Not changing much, but I feel a little different. Something about the way I move.

I had my family over for supper tonight and tried out a delicious scallop & chicken recipe which turned out very well indeed with [livejournal.com profile] punkieg happily slicing and dicing vegetables. He also bought me a crate of scrumptious clementines, the likes of which I haven't eaten in years. After supper, we watched The Two Towers extended edition, and it was good.

I've been thinking about Christmas decorations and buying some. After all, this year I'll have my very own tree!

Hey if Queen of Sheba doesnt keep you on the treadmill what will? Hurray for "cardio theater" (what they call the TVs at the Nepean Sports Plex Gym)!

I do feel better when I am in shape. I miss that feeling (right now the gym is on hold for school - plan on going back over the holidays). Good for you for going to the gym!

For decorations, I recomend the Holiday Store at Bayshore Shopping Center. They have EVERY kind of ornament. Even these little ones that are great for a small tree (which I have).

Small ornaments = good. I was at Zeller's yesterday and practically all their tree ornaments are huge! Good for my parents' tree, but I'm only going to have a baby one.
