Why are all those home (re)decorating shows so fond of painting rooms bright yellow? Not even mustard yellow, or ochre; sunshine, canary, look-I'm-a-primary-colour! yellow. Especially a room that's supposed to be relaxing? I once read an article about a study that had shown that people become more easily stressed when in yellow-painted rooms. I can think of many other colours that would be more appropriate for a calming, zen-like effect.

It is supose to be a warm energetic colour. It is also supose to promote thinking. Personally I am not into yellow.
