Sick sick sick!

Today, I stayed home. This morning my throat felt like it had a tennis ball lodged in it, swallowing was so painful. I started feeling better around noon, when G showed up with cans and cans of chicken noodle soup, but still not well enough to go to work. I hope I feel better tomorrow. For now my throat's okay, but raw, it's just that my nose is running like nobody's business.

More and more, recently, I've been feeling my age yet not feeling it. I know I'm coming up to a time of decisions, real adult decisions; I can no longer escape the fact that I have grown up, even though when I look in the mirror I don't find myself very different from what I was one, two, three years ago. Sometimes it makes me nervous in a happy way, sometimes it makes me melancholy. Today I just feel bloated from all the fruit juice I've been drinking.

When you mean "feeling your age" do you mean you arent able to bounce back from anything or more looking like it or feeling wiser or feel like you have to act more like one?

Oh, I can bounce back just fine, it's just that now I'm on my own, providing for myself, so I have to do annoying things like balance a budget and take care of the laundry and all that. I don't feel like I'm 17 anymore, but at the same time I've been used to feeling like I'm 17 for so long that it's not really caught up to me yet. :)

Thanks :) Also the fact that my body has changed over the past couple of years, which I've been gradually getting used to (my padding finally caught up with my frame).
