To Computer: STOP FREEZING, YOU PIECE OF JUNK!
Take three, and this had better be the charm! Though I'm using G's computer, so hopefully everything will work as it should.

So, I had my wisdom teeth taken out this morning. They drugged me good, because I can't remember anything between the time the surgeon lowered the chair and when the nurse led G into the room, after it was all done. Once the wooziness had passed enough for me to stand on my own, we went to the pharmacy to pick up my painkillers. I was feeling mostly all right, until G pulled into our driveway (how odd to say "our" driveway *goofy smile*) and I promptly fell into the apples, as we say in French. Poor G, who'd never seen me lose consciousness before, was somewhat alarmed, but he handled it like a pro, especially considering that I started drooling blood when I came to.

Once I managed to make it into the house, I settled on the chesterfield where I spent the day alternately sleeping, applying ice to my cheeks and totally swollen and useless lower liver-lip, trying to drink despite said lip and getting G to wipe my chin off after the less succesfull attemps. By late afternoon the local anasthetic had worn off, but I'd already started on the painkillers so it's been mostly okay. In fact, the worse of the pain I've felt today was no worse than on the days my teeth were really pushing, so I shouldn't complain. I'm just afraid that I'll awake tomorrow to a bruised and swollen jaw, which I've been told could happen.

This evening I went with G and A-L to encourage my brother dear and his band at the last Ottawa round of Emergenza. True to himself, he started off their set by dedicating a heart-felt fuck you to the bands who'd given/sold tickets to anyone just to get votes, as opposed to people who'd really enjoy the music. Ah well, at least he has principles. *wry smirk* We only stayed for their set and the show's probably not even over now, but only one band (out of 14, I think) gets to go on to the next round in Toronto. Regardless, you should go see Noise Monger: their music is good (and I'm not just saying that because it's my brother) and they have the stage presence to pull it off. I'd tell you to check out their website, but it's of the "Coming Soon" variety, so you needn't bother.

I'm taking the day off tomorrow as well, so I'll have had a four-day weekend. And time to sew, and do some gardening! Providing my jaw isn't too painful, that is.

Thank you, G's computer! There, that wasn't so hard, was it? *pokes own computer*
