Yesterday, I bought a dress form! Her name is Brunhilde and she comes from the Best Store Ever. At the moment, she's wearing a yukata. I felt bad about leaving her alone and unadorned when I went to bed, but as I had no sewing project lying around, I slipped the first garment I saw on her.

Yesterday I also had a very girly day with two friends, which felt really good. We shopped, had lunch together, shopped a bit more, then went back to the house of one (whose husband is also away on business) for wine, sausages and karaoke. Sort-of-drunk, dancing around, over-emoting karaoke, which is, as everyone knows, the best kind.
Well, let's see where I stand:

- Organise clothes in the master bedroom
- Set up the "laundry room", put blankets on top shelves.
- Empty the last plastic bin of toiletries, put them away in... the linen closet?
- Take a look at that bathroom cupboard door that's not closing properly
- Finishing organising sewing room: first the bookcase, then the closet
- Find an appropriate storage space for the camping equipment
- Find a place upstairs for the deck chairs
- Put tapes, DVDs and CDs in some semblance of order
- Find a place for the books currently in piles on the floor
- Organise the pantry
- Try to find a way to store all the pots and pans together. Not an easy prospect, as we have 3 sets of the damn things and G won't get rid of any of them!
- Empty all cardboard boxes and stack them so as to take as little space as possible
- General housecleaning
- Eat nectarines Or at least, one down, three to go.

additional items:

- Organise the buffet
- Find a place to store the suitcases that didn't fit in the laundry closet
- Organise all our jacket, coats and shoes in the hall closet
