When I'm a world-famous writer, people will ask me how I got started. Here's the answer, a touching inter-species love story I wrote when I was in kindergarten. Transcribed as is, spelling mistakes and all, though I unfortunately can't upload the drawings. Imagine a deformed-looking black mouse, that actually looks more like a cat, as the protagonist. Thank you.
"This is Miranda [t]he mouse. Won day Miranda was playing in the forest. Then she hueld [heard] a M [mmm sound] and she saw a mermaid [the teacher helped me spell that one]. They collected shells and lived happily ever after."
Wading through stuff like this, I've been forced to come to the conclusion that I was a very girly little girl, at least on the days I was feeling artistic. Then there were the days I was Hercules or Legolas and beat my brothers up with plastic swords.
